Altinkum & Didim Tourism Portal - Important decision for Didim

Two weeks ago. Didim was declared by the Council of Ministers as a 'Cultural and Tourism Propection and Development Region' and in our last week's edition gave news of this issue we are continuing this week. After this declaration, Aydin Culture and Tourism Director. Halik Ibrahim Aktemur said 'Didim will become an international brand like Antalya.' Aktemur also mentioned that, 70% of Didim area belong to the state which makes it attractive for foreign investment, and easy to come here. 'Golf courses, sport centres and centres for culturel tourism will be built in these areas' said the Aydin Culture and tourism Director Halil Ibrahim Aktemur. Also the mayor of Didim, Mumin Kamaci explained his opimions about this issue.

He said 'It is a very good step for Didim to become a registered Tourism region. It will open the way for Didim to become a brand.' Kamaci also underlined that after the registration of Didim is completed, alll tourism issues will be effect according to the laid down Tourism plans of Ankara. Unlike mayor Kamaci and Aydin Culture and Tourism Director Aktemur, Mehmet Soysalan, who was the Mayor of Didim between 1994 and 1999 expressed his anxieties.
